Directus is no longer open source
- emidoots 4y agoLOL classic, it almost looks like an intentional joke. First thing on their homepage: > 21,339 stars and counting First thing on their GitHub README: > Open Source. No artificial limitations, vendor lock-in, or hidden paywalls. Their contributing section: > Directus is a premium open-source (BSL 1.1) project, made possible with support from our passionate core team, talented contributors, and amazing GitHub Sponsors. Thank you all!!
- claytongulick 4y agoIn the spirit of open source, a community fork is appropriate in this case. Initial commit[1]. Will work on removing any reference to "Directus" over the weekend, and figure out strategy for the code base and publishing on NPM. - josephcsible 4y agoYou should remove all references to the CLA from the contributing.md file in your fork. Also, I probably would have kept all their Git history before the license change, instead of squashing it all into one commit.
- claytongulick 4y agoGood points, thanks.
