The other day I noticed that the Dropbox icon had a red notification dot. Uh oh, maybe I'm running out of space. Nope, it was an ad for using Dropbox to scan my tax documents or some shit like that. I contacted support to ask about disabling future fake notifications, and they tried to claim that malware could be responsible. I suppose in a way, they're not wrong...
