- superkuh 3y agoWhile that c code is at least unchanging on my disk and reviewable, it's still a lot to ask that I compile and run special software to read a particular type of webpage. Mastadon's design is terrible in the sense that it perfectly captures how bad twitter was/is without any of the community mitigations of the disaster in accesibility. I don't want to run an activitypub server. I just want text and image websites to actually have text and images. This is not too much to ask for a community protocol. Before mastadon v3 it was an option (and the default option).
