Facebook doesn't run on plain old PHP, it's compiled with HPHP into "highly optimized" C++
- onemoreact 15y agoIt's does not run on "highly optimized" C++ code, it uses C++ as an intermediary target before being complied to ASM. Which makes PHP just another compiled language that happens to work at FB's scale.
