No one wants to accept you as a relay. The only one who did accept was Beckmeyer, good guy. But it had week long outages. Searching Mastodon posts is impossible. There's a very strong cancel culture on Mastodon instances. The main players control who can and can speak freely. It's all even more fucked up than Facebook and Twitter. Add to that PITA upgrade procedures, and a 500 char limit per post, which includes hashtags. Absolutely ridiculous how this pos software made it so far.
