The hype cycle burned people out too early. I see the same happening with GPT now.
Turns out hard problems take time and money. I don’t know how much has been spent on self driving research in the last decade, but globally it’s likely approaching $1 trillion.
A trillion dollars can solve most problems, including this apparently.
- mustacheemperor 4y agoWell, on that note, learning that the far south end of SF is excluded from “all of San Francisco” certainly reduced my own hype.
