OpenAI is ahead at the moment, nobody's disputing that. But if anyone is able to challenge OpenAI's supremacy in that space, it's Google. And if LLMs will indeed be the revolution that some make them out to be, and Google is able to capture 70+% market share within a few years as they were able with mobile OSes, that's not a bad place to be in.
