- worrycue 3y agoWhat is he or she not impressed about? Why should we care?
- baking 3y agoI assume this is what is being referred to: https://spectrum.ieee.org/lithium-ion-battery-disruption-ready https://spectrum.ieee.org/lithium-ion-battery-disruption-rea...
- Animatronio 3y agoI'd like to know his arguments against solid state batteries, but he's been dead for 19 years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Urry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Urry
- baking 3y agoI assume he means one of the inventors who are not dead.
- selimthegrim 3y agoHe means Goodenough
- baking 3y agoWasn't he working on solid state batteries?
- selimthegrim 3y agoSure but I’m not the one who made the original remark
- baking 3y agoIt's just more likely to be Wittingham who is currently working on Lithium-ion batteries.
- selimthegrim 3y agoOk fair.
- tzs 3y agoThat's lithium metal batteries, which are not rechargeable. Most EVs use lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries were invented by M. Stanley Whittingham [1] and John B. Goodenough [2] who are both still alive (81 and 100 years old, respectively).
