Maybe because some people like driving smaller cars, EV or not, regardless of price? Each year there are fewer and fewer options for small vehicles in the U.S. Putting other arguments aside (like small cars being better for the environment, and are less likely to hurt pedestrians in a crash), I hate driving large vehicles due to their sheer size, the lack of visibility of things right next to me, and handling.
