Reminds me of the buck passing I saw from the local school board when I attended a meeting to oppose mask mandates during the public comment session. The superintendent was absolutely thrilled that the policy had just been handed down from the governor's office, so he would not personally have to defend forcing young children to strap completely useless bits of cloth across their faces day in and day out. "It's out of our hands!" And today, I'm sure that if you pressed the governor on that decision, he would pass the buck to the state health department or whoever.
