Ask HN: Why don't I see [dead] mark next my own submits?
In my options I've turned on the option to see dead links. I can see [dead] mark next to other peoples content, but not next to mine. Why is that so?
- LinuxBender 4y agoProbably to keep spam bots from seeing their own links are dead but you could email Dang to get a better answer.
- scastiel 4y agoI don’t know why, but I agree it can be annoying… As a trick, you can use the API [1]. Get the story ID in the URL of your post, and place it at the end of the API call (e.g. [2]).
