Yeah, when we were told we needed to just keep sleeping in our beds, it was so unsettling. For months I just didn't sleep under any covers because I couldn't handle the thought of them creeping around under there and I would wake up constantly throughout the night to the fear that I was being bitten... months after we'd seen the last one too. Whenever I'd vist my parents, I'd have a double bagged load of clothes that I'd keep in the boot of my car and I'd run them through high heat dryer cycles daily and change into them in outside the house after thoroughly checking myself for bedbugs. It took me years after moving out of the flat to get my head back to normal. Awful. Awful. Awful.
