I recently had a broken phone replaced and had depended on a backup to have my TOTP keys on my new phone. It was not a part of the phone backup. :(
- svachalek 3y agoSame. Someone needs to make all this both secure and usable. For now, I'll even take "this is going to ruin your day but at least there's a standard and consistent way to deal with this" as usable, maybe we don't want anything easier than that for security reasons.
