Bold of them to move forward with this clickbait when this mistake was corrected and the account was suspended before they could even publish the piece
- sockaddr 3y agoStill happened though, right?
- BulgarianIdiot 3y agoIt absolutely did happen, and Disney had to alert Twitter about it.
- simplotek 3y ago> Bold of them to move forward with this clickbait Not clickbait. It documents Twitter's modus operandi, and the irresponsible way it grants it's "verified" status, in some cases even against the user's request. > when this mistake was corrected and the account was suspended Irrelevant. The whole point was that Twitter proactively verified a bullshit account.
- rsynnott 3y agoWell, I mean, it does seriously call into question what new-Twitter means by 'verified'...
- KomoD 3y agoHow is it clickbait? It's exactly what happened.
- LocalH 3y agoThe fact that it even happened at all, with Musk's claimed intent to "clean up" Twitter, as compared to his laughably inept mismanagment, is newsworthy.
