I appreciate the keep your monolith argument. It seems like a lot of people have the attitude of let's start with a monolith, and switch to microservices when the monolith becomes painful. Having seen how much effort goes into getting microservices running well for any non trivial setup, I wonder what could have been achieved if 25% of that resource had gone into improving the monolith.
