I think this might help a little with the typo-squatting attacks, since it should be easier to filter for the most popular (or all?) organizations in PyPI, and I guess it will be harder for attackers to create malicious projects in an organization.
- nomdep 3y agoIt would, except that they aren’t using them for namespacing the packages, just as some kind of search tag. E.g.: https://pypi.org/org/pallets/ https://pypi.org/org/pallets/
