I think the most exciting thing about this is the potential for better diagnosis of ASD, if there is a measurable physiological difference between people with/without ASD.
If it's just an MRI or something, you could require all children do the MRI at 3yrs old or so. Being able to do a scan and say "Yep, ASD" would be amazing. You could immediately unlock govt funding to begin early interventions* in every area necessary & significantly improve the childs situation.
*Early intervention for children with ASD has significant impact on the childs development, so if you have a child and have any concerns whatsoever(E.G. not meeting communication or social behaviour milestones), see a pediatrician immediately.
