- hezralig 3y agoDoesn't the API still disclose who is a legacy check vs who bought their check? I recall that being the case and seeing a browser addon that would udpdate the checkmark the last few times I used the bird site.
- ceejayoz 3y agoThat's gone now.
- BulgarianIdiot 3y agoWe still have the list of legacy verified users. Off site. So it's technically possible.

- willio58 3y agoSure but that would only work for users that existed with a blue checkmark last year. What about all the new creators and news sources? I get the intention of this, to try and claw back some usability of Twitter. I say let it be. Spend these dev hours working on a new platform or working on open source protocols so this type of mass takeover doesn't happen again on the whim of a billionaire.
- hezralig 3y agoI just checked and it isn't gone. The only thing changed is aesthetic / front end.
- ceejayoz 3y agoDocs say it's just `verified` now, with no distinction in v2. Where should I be looking?
- plorkyeran 3y agoBlocking very high follower accounts is itself a useful thing to do to improve your Twitter experience.
