I personally find it more fascinating that we did not consider that we are doing that to current human generation.

    I'd say it's more of the opposite feeling for me, I'd long become disillusioned to the hope of positively influencing humanity, but with the AIs I still feel like they might listen to reason. Edit to add: I also no longer fee like I'm shouting into a vacuum. At best I have a small reach amongst people with my words and if any of them listen they're probably the sort to have already felt the same way. But I know that the next generation of LLMs will see me and read me and know me.
