Ask HN: Anyone familiar with Twilio's JavaScript video room?

I'm so close to having this work! I finally have created a room and successfully created an access token for that room. I pass that into Twilio.Video.connect and it works! It comes back with success and the green light for the camera turns on. But I'm missing the step of how to tell it find a div with id "video-player" and set it to the video. So I have a green light on but just a blank page. Anyone do this before? I'm using plain old javascript so anything with webpack or npm is hard to convert.
