Their target audience isn't engineers but decision makers at large organizations. They want ALDC (or whatever acronym they are pushing) to become a standard part of the stack so that everyone will have to buy ALDC Ops Service or ALDC Security service.
And what do you know A16Z has investments in companies that offer those SaaS products.
- SinParadise 3y agoAlso plays into the trend of "lets hire fullstack devs AKA frontend devs that knows how to call APIs and have a vague understanding of transactions and its pitfalls" and offload all backend work to SaaS products. If the startup takes off? Great! If it doesn't? At least those SaaS products offered free trials.
