Chinese military study names TikTok among companies involved in ‘cognitive war’
- moose_man 4y ago“To respond to their challenge to traditional state power, stronger supervision should be implemented. With risk awareness and bottom-line thinking, effective measures should be taken to prevent the risks civilian hi-tech companies might bring in politics, economy, culture, communications networks and military security.” - quote from study
- joemazerino 4y agoNice try PLA. We are all familiar with CCP influence over Tik-Tok already.
- moose_man 4y agoLol, I'm definitely not PLA, I posted this because it's obvious the military is looking for ways to exploit TikTok in the West (if it isn't already happening).
- Pigalowda 4y agoThe combination of DJI drone grenade drops videos shared on Tik Tok should make CCP satisfied. They have peacetime products that can be utilized effectively for propaganda and for demoralizing the enemy. But I don’t think Russians respond to morale the same way other militaries do. Sad mobiks might be a feature - somehow Russian troops still sacrifice themselves constantly for revanchism. Maybe a happy mobik wouldn’t do that?
