The prediction of the future is tough. Basically no-one predicted the AI iphone moment, everyone was suprised, the landscape changed forever in a very quick way. I usually look at the authors, because if a partner at a VC had great tech insights, they would found a startup themselves, and what I see from my coachees, most VCs just follow the herd ;-) (yes, some few have) One of the authors was a CTO though.
