There is an interesting podcast with Steven Kaplan about the same issue. His research showed a similar result: CEOs are paid fairly and have had wage growth similar to other highly skilled fields (doctors, lawyers, etc). Conversely, he found that hedge fund managers have absolutely skyrocketed past everyone else.
