Several celebrities gain posthumous blue checks
- mullingitover 3y agoThe ramifications of this random, impulsive trolling operation by a man with pockets deeper than his intellect will fill the college funds of so many lawyers’ children. Truly breathtaking. It’s also going to be interesting to see the GDPR implications.
- cogitoergofutuo 3y agoIt’s going to be interesting to see indeed. I wonder how Terry Pratchett’s family would feel about “This account is verified because they are subscribed to Twitter Blue and verified their phone number.” being attached to his public profile.
- mullingitover 3y agoWhen the discovery begins, it strikes me that if his judgment is bad enough to make these moves 'for the lulz' it's probably also bad enough that he's creating a trail evidence showing malice. I mean, before you even subpoena all the records from his activities today you already have him openly admitting it[1]. How does this man have investors trusting him with their funds. I wouldn't trust him with the authority given to an assistant manager at a McDonalds. - cogitoergofutuo 3y agoI find it unlikely that the family of Jamal Khashogghi (1) found today an opportune time to sign up for Twitter Blue, but who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://twitter.com/jkhashoggi https://twitter.com/jkhashoggi
