Not so bad, but it shows you are sometimes translating english constructs to french words literally. FWIW I've recently used Michel Thomas method to learn a language starting from zero, and found I got comfortable building my own phrases very fast. It's audio only, you just have to respond to questions in the target language before the answer is spoken, almost painless. (this is not an ad, I have no relation to Michel Thomas method). It's not perfect either but I feel it's the best introduction to the mecanisms of a forein language, after which you can start adding up vocabulary.
