I’m all in favor of giving teenagers more independence. And thus some opportunity to have a job _if they want one_ to pay for their own things. For me personally teenage years were tough in my family, a job was a life changer in getting away and establishing my own identity. But it’s annoying how many laws treat teens as second class citizens. Including BOTH limiting how much they can earn AND how much they are allowed to work.
