There’s a lot of things taxes fund that do not allow decision making / control by those who pay the taxes.
- hinkley 3y agoSchool lunch programs in the US are captive to the ag department, which is why they are gross. It’s a dumping ground for whatever commodity domestic goods are the most plentiful. Layers upon layers of perverse incentives. It’s not just taxpayers that pay, it’s also the kids and the environment and thus future generations. Some people have been trying to get this changed for a long time now. No luck so far.
