On Android:
Open the Settings app.
Tap Sounds & vibration.
Tap More settings.
Tap Wireless Emergency Alerts.
Toggle off 'Allow alerts'
Though on Android 12 it seems to be:
Settings
Notifications
Wireless Emergency Alerts
Allow Alerts
I could be wrong but I think this will also disable environmental alerts such as tornados, avalanche risks, nuclear plant meltdown, snow squalls, incoming missiles Hawaiians got that one, space portals from evil dimensions, etc...
- hirundo 4y agoThank you! On my Android 13 it's in Settings Safety & emergency Wireless emergency alerts And it lets me specifically toggle off AMBER alerts which have been the only problem.
