N.F.L. Suspends Five Players for Gambling
- fullshark 4y agoIt's literally impossible to avoid gambling ads when you watch sports now. I get these players shouldn't bet and are stupid for doing so, but it's just absurd to have the league simultaneously push fans to throw their savings into this pit, and punish players, taking away their livelihoods, for doing so.
- nh23423fefe 4y agoNo. It isn't absurd actually. Fans and employees are different groups of people with different obligations.
- fullshark 4y agoI understand why it's not allowed, although apparently a few of the players would have been ok if they just had gambled outside of team buildings? I don't know all the rules here it's just kind of silly to me.
- hitpointdrew 4y agoHow is it absurd to punish players who have a conflict of interest? It’s pretty normal, and just, to have special rules when there is a conflict of interest.
