I know that you have good reasons, but this (the clear message regarding staying with GTK+2 and thus no native Wayland) is what drove me away from Ardour.
- PaulDavisThe1st 3y agoWhat on earth would native Wayland bring you, as an Ardour user?
- mixmastamyk 3y agoConvenience of being able to use it on someone’s current machine.
- PaulDavisThe1st 3y agoWhat Wayland-using system does not run an X server? There are hundreds to hundreds-of-thousands of applications that do not have a native Wayland version? Are you suggesting that you would not run any of them either?
- mixmastamyk 3y agoDidn’t realize it was backward compatible without limitations. (also my posting is limited so couldn’t respond until now.)
