The form this argument always takes is:
1) undesirable_outcome will not happen, and here's a rational argument why.
2) ok, undesirable_outcome did happen but it wasn't undesirable in the first place and here's a rational argument why
dismiss the concerns, then invalidate the concerns, it's how you keep progress moving
- elbigbad 3y agoThis outcome is desirable in the sense that we should live in a world where this cottage industry doesn’t exist, but it is undesirable that people are losing some of the best jobs available to them. Yes this is progress overall.
