Lots of these seemed to be people who worked for themselves. Much of HN, I would think, are wage slaves working for the man. I suspect it’s far less interesting or desirable to keep debugging somebody else’s problem. Perhaps we’ll see a rise in FOSS work when the young cohorts cross 60? There just aren’t that many hackers there yet.
