Well, this is why we develop environmentalism as a demand driven market—consumers will punish businesses that are inauthentic. But that is still small peanuts—we need people to maximize profits by doing the right thing. Rational alignment of interests is the goal, not enhanced individual morality. One is much more likely to lead to systematic rapid change.
