What we can learn about password sharing from Netflix's earnings
- mattl 3y agoI pay for Netflix and barely use it. But the one family member who has my password watches it a bunch. So I don’t feel bad about paying for it at all.
- caydenm 3y agoWould you ever have the family member pay instead of you paying?
- mattl 3y agoNo. If they blocked me sharing passwords I’d probably just make an account for the family member and pay for that and miss out on the 10-15 hours of value I get out of Netflix every year.
- nerpderp82 3y agoSame, I have Paramount, Hulu, Netflix, etc. I watch maybe 10 hours a month that isn't YT Premium and Nebula. My ex uses the streaming services way more than I ever would. But I wouldn't change a thing. If they start clamping down on it, I'd bitch cancel and maybe renew a couple of them a couple months later.
- mattl 3y agoYouTube I pay for because I watch it a lot. Hulu used to have a ton of NBC procedurals and now it has less but I have some Disney bundle. I recommend privacy.com for all these services in case they jack up their prices.
