Europe wants more cities to use datacenter waste heating
- ZeroGravitas 4y agoModern district heating (and cooling) networks can use the waste heat directly at (relatively) low temps . Heatpumps enable several interesting use cases including seasonal storage. There's a weird sentence in the article claiming heatpump manufacturers would rather use them to generate electricity, which doesn't make much sense.
