      I see no problem in trying to sound cool and all that, but the price doesn't seem to be on the front page, or I've missed it. In which case two people have already flagged this and you should take the cue.

            I'm on a phone, so it's multiple pages down, and the price isn't mentioned when its first mentioned that it isn't free, which is where I'd expect it to be mentioned. So I had to scroll to find the price.

  Not against this business model as long as there is some way for me to make sure that whatever I'm hosting there is under my control and the website doesn't go bust 12 months later. As such, I'd be more keen on paying if this would be controlled and managed by us, the payers. If it goes down and it was free, well, it's what you can reasonably expect from Free. If it goes down and I've paid for it, I'm going to be rather frustrated.

  I think paid is probably the way to go, from a not having the new image hosting site go down hill until everyone jumps ship to the next service. Problem is the marginal value of such a thing to most people. I'd like to see a cheap email, online storage, image hosting solution come along, unfortunately that isn't the web model we ended up with.
