Show HN: Publishing BrowserBox Pro source and making it free for noncomm use
Hey there!
We've decided to make our product's source code public! It's kind of inspired by the GitLab guy's open core ventures, but we're not totally sure about the open core model. There's just something cool about sharing our code with you all.
We think it's nice to let people see the code for themselves, making sure there's nothing sketchy going on. Plus, it feels good to give back to public institutions and non-commercial projects. We know we've still got to make money, so we're finding that balance between openness and keeping the lights on.
So, if you're into using our product for commercial purposes, hit up our website or shoot an email to support (support@dosycorp.com). And for everyone else, enjoy the open source goodness!
Let's see where this journey takes us!

- graderjs 3y agoALso let me clarify that the term "open source" goodness should be "source-available goodness" as it's not an "Open Source" license.
- not_your_vase 3y agoDid you change your mind? I bookmarked it to take a look at it later, but now it's 404
- graderjs 3y agoSorry didn’t see your comment! No, it turns out some exciting customers had reservations that we were doing this and wanted some assurances and to double check some stuff with us first. It’s back up now
