If I’m big & you’re small & you’re growing faster, then it’s a matter of time before you surpass me. Assuming the growth rates are static, then sure. But in reality they're fluctuating too, and we can't know how they'll change in the future. Plenty of technologies have had fast early growth, only to peter out long-term.
