Dellcam suspended by Twitter for reporting on the hack of Matt Walsh's account
- v0idzer0 4y agoPolitical people are the worst. This is a clear case where a suspension is necessary, but since a leftist journalist was soliciting hacked material from a rightist journalist, its controversial. Politics makes otherwise rational people act like zealots.
- ratsmack 4y agoI wonder what this is all about here. https://twitter.com/fishontherun2/status/1648786065304731650 https://twitter.com/fishontherun2/status/1648786065304731650 Here's a little more. https://twitter.com/WIRED/status/1648827525961773062 https://twitter.com/WIRED/status/1648827525961773062 Looks like he was soliciting some of the hacked material.
- version_five 4y agoI don't know who any of these people are, but from a cursory look at the discussions, it looks like there's more to it. Obviously Twitter has also recently banned people (PG e.g .) for no reason, so who knows. One thing I'll say, having clicked through to Wired, where apparently the banned person works, it's a little tiresome to see the "we emailed Twitter to ask about it and got a poop emoji as a reply" trope.
- bediger4000 4y agoWhat has happened to Elon? He's gone from free speech absolutist to shadow banning, suspending accounts, and banning other free speech absolutists like Taibbi! Something has gone terribly wrong. Has Elon fallen under the influence of a censorious Dorseyite remnant?

- rsynnott 4y ago> He's gone from free speech absolutist ... No, that's just something he _said_. Shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, especially if it's from an erratic weirdo with a history of claiming nonsense.
