I recall reading a story last year about a guy who went through this process to import a cheap EV pickup to use around his farm[1]. I believe it cost him about $3k-4k in shipping and fees.

- Bimos 3y agoThe pickup in this link is not legal (neither as automobile like normal cars/pickups nor as non-motor vehicles like bicycles/electric-bicycles) in China, too. But the BYD one is totally legal in China.
