I rented one of these Jeeps a few months before Anton Yelchin's death, and my first reaction that was that it was an accident waiting to happen, that I expected to see a rash of senior citizens driving though storefronts because of it, and that I would avoid parking near them in the future. One of the biggest issues is that not only does the gearshift lever not move to indicate the selected gear, but that the gearshift lever has multiple modes of operation - a short press would select reverse, but a long press would select drive.
