I appreciate the excellent article. It sums up ChatGPT better than anything else I have seen. My first goal is to improve my skills by using AI as a personal tutor. My second goal is to improve my productivity by integrating AI into my work flow. My third goal is to never getting so lazy that I ever trust the output of an AI without proofreading it first. I try to imagine the output of the AI coming from a Reddit user with a suspicious-sounding handle. This is a lot like when I learned to use spell-checkers correctly. Some people always went with the first option, and wrote a lot of odd school papers. Some people use the spell checkers to correct their spelling in their school papers, but never learned to be a better speller. I learned correct spellings from spell checkers while correcting my spelling. There is also a metaphor for calculators. Students should use calculators to check their work, but never become dependent on them.
