What does "stage plays on the radio” mean?
- what_ever 4y agoTrying to be fancy to say things won't be running locally. The orchestra/performers won't be live in front of you but on the radio.
- earthboundkid 4y agoThat is not what that idiom means.
- crucialfelix 4y agoWhen radio first started, people read plays written for the stage, because that's what they knew and what they had. Later people learned to write for the medium and make radio native entertainment. Same thing happened when TV arrived. They did live versions of the radio entertainment on a set in front of a camera.
