This is what AI is. It is a skill learning machine that can outpace your ability to learn given enough training data. The answer of just learning a new skill will not hold up forever. That window will continue to shrink.

This can be said of every technology.
- croes 3y agoBut some technologies can more easily become unavailable, especially if they mainly exist as a web service. MS could remove PowerPoint from Office 365 at anytime if they wish, my local Office installation is harder to kill.
- 13years 3y agoThere are already multiple models and open source versions of the LLMs. Becoming unavailable would seem to be a highly unlikely outcome.
