- 1letterunixname 3y agoYes, exactly. It's bad for both mental health and productivity because it denies reality (promotes dishonesty) and puts distance between people with phony, exhausting expectations. Being exceptionally good and real is the real thing. ;) Life is so short, so why not be legit?
- FartyMcFarter 3y agoIt also gaslights people into believing their negative emotions are their own fault, if everyone else pretends to be positive.
