That sort of fatalistic hype is completely unhelpful. Like another comment is explicitly pointing out, whether AI will be used in any given field may not be under our control but on what terms and to whose benefit still absolutely are. Giving up or encouraging others to do so just ensures it will be used in the most exploitative and extractive ways possible and in no others.
