I think Chess offers a model for post-AI life. Computers are much better and yet people keep playing, keep trying to invent human-comprehensible theories, but also using computer support to do so. A funny detail is that accuracy has been flipped on its head, and is used to measure humans by machine standards.
- the_af 4y agoYes, but "we don't need CS anymore" feels more like "we don't need to learn the rules of Chess anymore -- or the rules of anything -- the chatbot will figure things out for us anyway!"
