  Tailscale is really nailing service connectivity for the way people are looking at building systems these days. Excellent collection of enterprise features.

  This is great, except now I have to "contact sales" to get a resolution because we use Tailnet Lock. I'd prefer a more hands off approach where I can just click some buttons like before, but oh well. I can't clearly tell if this is going to cost more or less now.

      It’s not an anti pattern. It’s the enterprise sales pattern.

  Tailscale is the only exciting non-AI company. It solves hard problems in a very elegant way.

  I was a bit sad to see some security features like custom OIDC providers locked behind an enterprise plan, but after checking their pricing page (https://tailscale.com/pricing/ https://tailscale.com/pricing/) it actually seems like that is available on a lower plan. And even better, the free plan seems very reasonable as a sort of self-directed POC, with access to many enterprise features, but limited to three users. So now I'm not sad, this seems pretty cool!

  $20/mo. per user is insane pricing Cloudflare does the exact same thing, based on the same technology, for half the price. I’d much prefer to go with Tailscale, but at these prices it’s a non-starter.
