Could an Average American home solar install actually charge enough to match their consumption (average daily miles), and with such a big vehicle (very heavy, moreso as electric)?
- malfist 4y agoPossibly. But more likely, the energy grid will adopt more and more renewables to the point it doesn't matter if you have a local solar grid at home or not.
- doubled112 4y agoWhat happens up here in Canada or some of the northern states? Cold and dark doesn't sound like a good combination for long lasting batteries and fast solar charging rates
- corbulo 4y agoNo
- jmpman 4y agoAssuming 50kwh/day (2/3 of an entire Model 3 battery pack) I’d need roughly a 10kw system. According to Google Sunroof, I can fit a 25KW system on my roof. I could have 2, and still run the AC.
